Federal Oats Mills Sdn Bhd is contributing 30,000 packs of Captain Oats on top of RM15,000 cash.
Its sales and marketing executive Yiwen Ng said the company was proud to be associated with such a big event aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle.
“This is the seventh time we are sponsoring Ipoh Starwalk.
“We will continue sponsoring as it is a healthy event which promotes sports and recreation,” she said after handing over the Captain Oats packs worth RM15,000.
General manager Roslynn Tan Kim Choo handed over the sponsorship to The Star’s advertisement representative Mohammad Shohib Ahmad Ibrahim at her office in Mak Mandin Industrial Estate in Butterworth, Penang, on Thursday.
Also present was The Star’s advertising accounts servicing executive Tan Pei Yong.
Ng added that the company would launch new products in July.
The Captain Oats Eazy-Go Instant Oatmeal or Porridge will come out in four flavours: honey and raisins, skim milk, chicken and mushroom, and mixed vegetables.
Ipoh Starwalk participants will be flagged off on May 7 at 7am at Perak Turf Club in Jalan Raja DiHilir.
The walk is organised by Star Media Group in collaboration with Ipoh City Council, Perak Education Department and Perak Athletic Association.
The platinum sponsor for the walk is telecommunications company YES.
Silver sponsors are Chek Hup, Julie’s, Counterpain, F&N, Federal Oats, Sports Toto, Sanctband and Spritzer.
Perak Turf Club is the official venue provider and Weil Hotel is the official hotel of the walk.
