Garden Salad in Yogurt

Add more crunch to your creamy salad bowl by sprinkling toasted oats over and mixing it in!

INGREDIENTS

Instant Oatmeal

2/3 cup of toasted Captain Oats Instant Oatmeal

Red Apple

1 medium red apple, cut into cubes

Cucumber

1/2 medium cucumber, cut into cubes

Salad Leaves

2 large pieces of salad leaves, cut into small squares

Green Grapes

5 green/black grapes, halved and seeds removed

Carrots

1 small boiled carrot, cut into cubes

Potato

1 medium boiled potato, cut into cubes

Salt

1/4 teaspoon of salt to taste

Cashew Nuts

10 pieces of grilled cashew nuts

Chickpeas

1/2 cup boiled chick peas

Frozen Peas

1/4 cup boiled frozen peas, drained

Yogurt

3 tubs low fat mango flavoured yoghurt

Sesame Seeds

2 tablespoons of toasted sesame seeds

White Pepper

1/2 teaspoon of white pepper powder

Cardamom Powder

1/4 teaspoon of cardamom powder

METHODS

  1. In a large glass bowl, mix all the above thoroughly except the yoghurt.
  2. When well mixed, add yoghurt.
  3. Sprinkle with toasted oats and sesame seeds and then serve immediately.
