Steam Soy Egg with Oats and Seafood

Add oats & seafood to this traditional Chinese dish that can be whipped up in less than 20 minutes!

INGREDIENTS

Instant Oatmeal

2/3 cup Captain Instant Oatmeal

Soy Milk

2 cups unsweetened soy milk

Prawn

80g prawn (head and shell removed)

Kani Stick

4 pcs crab stick filament

Eggs

2 eggs, lightly beatened

Red Chili

1 red chili, seeds removed and sliced thinly

Salt

1/2 teaspoon salt

Pepper

1/2 teaspoon pepper

Oil

1 teaspoon sesame oil

Spring Onion

2 stalks chopped spring onions

Shallot

1 tablespoon fried shallot

METHODS

  1. Mix the oats with unsweetened soy milk. Add in egg, prawns, crab stick filament, red chili, salt and pepper.
  2. Pour mixture into a dish and steam for 15 minutes in medium heat.
  3. Remove from steamer. Add sesame oil and spring onions. Sprinkle with fried shallots. Serve hot.
